Something to think aboutwhen my grandmother was in hospice care

her organs were shutting down. fluid was building up in her lungs. at one point we were visiting she started gasping for air. In my world when that happens you strap an oxygen mask on someone immediately. instead the nurse took her damn time getting to the room and put the blood oxygen sensor on her finger and took the reading according to some living will procedure or something. Eventually the mask was put on but the time it took to do it was absurd.
